He was employed at Western Electric (now Lucent Technologies) and worked for 8 years at AM (Addresograph-Multigraph) International where he specialized in computerized camera systems and typesetting equipment, training in Chicago. Later on, Stacey worked as a computer repairman for mainframe systems as well as Class-3 lasers at Wang Laboratories.
Ron established Montana Technical Services in 1988 as a family-owned business. MTS rapidly grew to a nationwide chain, advising various government contracts ranging from fiber optics to network systems. Stacey also handled contract work for the Air Force while residing in Hawaii, supervising 15 employees under a strict security clearance. Ron was also responsible for installing the first ESS (Electronic Switching System) in Iowa while employed with the phone company.
Today, Ron owns Tech Service Company, a family-owned full-service business that caters to local and regional clients and contractors. Making the decision to move from government contracting to commercial services, Ron established TSC in 1997 in Waterloo, Iowa. TSC offers a full range of service, including computer repair and sales, OS and server maintenance, domain services, web hosting and design.
